Bought this while staying at cala gran. Service was excellent at the shop, friendly staff. Food was excellent and big servings. Would definitely recommend

Awesome chippy. Asked for a medium haddock and chips but got 2 haddock with chips, each of which would have passed as a medium. Nice staff. Would recommend.

Usual chippy was poor last time so decided to have a change and try John's. Best fish and chips I've had in a very long time. Premises spotless, staff very friendly, amazing quality food and portion size. Will use again, well recommended

What can I say really.. We came here for a holiday staying in the local haven, and was having a look on the map for things local and stumbled across this chip shop... Now I'm a sucker for a decent Fish & chips and persuaded the wife that we needed to try them out.. Very easy to find (except us southerners didn't know what a tram track was as we don't have them in oxford and we nearly ended up driving down the track)... So from the reviews on here, it said it was one of the best plaices (see what I did there) for a decent meal.. The staff are friendly and we had a laugh and joke with them, and then we got our order... Now I absolutely love my chips to be smothered in Vinegar and can't stand some chip shops just waving the bottle over like a harry potter wand pretending to cover it.... The lady behind the counter knew exactly what I meant when I said "smother", and did the food justice.... We took the food back to our accommodation, and proceeded to tuck in, My mouth watering with anticipation... Well what can I say, my taste buds were not disappointed, the batter was the right thickness, the chips were cooked to perfection and the vinegar just set it all off to perfection.... I actually cried a little tear when I came to the last chip as it was like tasting heaven.... Loved it so much, we had to go back and sample it again, and I can say with my hand on my heart that it gave me the same satisfaction as the first time... Unfortunately for us, our holiday has finished, and now All I'll be able to dream about is the perfect fish & chips from an amazing Shop.. May your business be there for a very long time and Hopefully one day I'll be able to return to sample heaven again!!
